Porcelain paper clay vessel handcrafted to emulate decay, erosion and fragility.

Paper clay is much stronger than ordinary clay due to the addition of cellulose paper fibres. It is designed for creating impossible shapes as the paper fibres avoid the formation of cracks and formation issues. The fibres burn out during firing and, once fired, it becomes lighter than traditional porcelain. Lynne often models her vessels around inflated balloons to create her rounded shapes, waiting for the optimum point of drying and deflation to release the pot!
