Rachael Kinmond – Celebrations

Rachael Kinmond’s practice is experimental, reflective and immersive; she chooses her medium based on her influences and creative intentions.

Rachael has worked with many different materials and processes during her artistic career, ranging from glass casting, woodwork and ceramic processes. Rachael is currently working in the medium of painting.

Upon completing her Fine Art MA she has immersed herself in using natural surroundings to inspire her current series of works. Rachael previously studied BA Contemporary Crafts at Falmouth, gaining a first class honours and receiving the ‘Outstanding Studentship Award’ whilst completing her studies. Rachael has recently exhibited works in The Poly, The Fish Factory and has been a month long studio resident at The Terrace Gallery in Penryn.

Rachael’s current works are inspired by abstraction and the shape and form of the landscape. She uses colour, texture and form to represent the natural contours of the local landscape.
