Description
Monotype printing is a quick and simple printmaking process with huge scope for experimentation.
What will I learn?
Initially, we will have a go at creating simple monotype prints using etching inks, drawing from a selection of objects. We will then look at the possibilities of working into the monotypes with other materials such as watercolours and pastels for unique and exciting results.
No experience necessary.
What do I need to bring?
The cost of the workshop covers all the materials required as well as tea, coffee, soft drinks etc.
Please bring something in which to take your work home such as a folder.
Please note: It may be necessary to leave work to dry for a day or two. This will vary depending on ink thickness and /or if paint is used on top of the original drawing.
Aprons are available for use and you may wish to wear clothes you don’t mind getting inks and paint on!
