Wheel-thrown “yunomi” handmade from local St Agnes clay and finished in earthy speckled cream or dark brown with gold lustre. A yunomi is a type of handleless Japanese teacup, typically used for everyday tea drinking, often held in both hands to feel the warmth of the tea.
Gail takes the inspiration for her signature sleek shapes from the engine houses which surround her, and the choice of glazes reflect the natural colours of the St Agnes landscape.
