Handmade sterling silver thin band ring with Shiva setting, approximately 10mm x 8mm.

Shiva Shell, also known as Pacific Cat’s Eye, is a stunning natural shell. Discovered on the seabed in the shallow tropical waters of Thailand and Indonesia, it is actually the protective door at the opening of the Turban Snail’s shell, which towards the end of the snail’s natural life, detaches and sinks to the seabed. Although the body colour is always off-white, the beautiful swirl can vary in colour, depending on the snail’s diet. Named after the Hindu God, Shiva, the shell represents the Third Eye found in many depictions of the God. Folklore suggests Shiva Eye Shells are “Mermaids’ Money” and good luck to travellers and fishermen.
