Seaglass Ring (Pirate – Gyllyngvase)

Handmade recycled sterling silver ring made from a soft triangular piece of pirate seaglass found on Gyllyngvase Beach set into a sterling silver bezel. Textured 2mm ring band.

“Pirate glass” appears black but when a light is shone through it is actually a very deep colour, usually green or brown. It is so called as before refrigeration and preservatives, sailors (and pirates) carried liquids in dark bottles to prevent them degrading and help them stay safe to drink.
