Lanyon Quoit Limited Edition Photographic Print
£45.00
Digital black and white photographic print of Lanyon Quoit.
Lanyon is one of a number of quoits found in West Penwith. It is perhaps the best known of Cornwall’s prehistoric monuments, originally dating from the early Neolithic period (3500-2500 BCE). It collapsed in a storm in 1815 and was re-built in 1824 but as some of the stones were damaged it could not be put back in the original formation. Quoits (or dolmens) are the remains of burial chambers or tribal monuments.
