Citrine & Cornish Pebble Pendant
£155.00
Handmade sterling silver pendant set with a triangular citrine and a Cornish pebble, suspended on a sterling silver snake chain.
Citrine is a variety of quartz, the name originating from the old French word for lemon. In ancient times was carried as protection against evil thoughts. and today is known as the “merchant’s stone” and associated with success and wealth. It is also a November birthstone.
The Shoreline Stories jewellery collection combines semi-precious stones and beach pebbles each with their own history. Rebecca challenges our perception of what is considered precious with these pieces. Why is a pebble, picked up from your favourite beach with all the attendant memories less precious than a semi-precious stone…? What gives something monetary value?
