Suzanne Barr has always enjoyed anything creative. She began her silversmithing journey when she signed up for a 10 week evening class with Cornwall College over 21 years ago and from that first night was hooked. She started creating from home, building her tools and skills as she could afford.

Suzanne began teaching classes for Cornwall College about 8 years ago and teaching is now one of her favourite things to do, meeting so many different people and sharing ideas and skills to create jewellery, many of whom have become jewellers themselves.

Being inspired by where she lives and the Cornish coast of St Austell Bay, Suzanne Barr uses a lot of seaglass and textured silver designs but also loves the challenge of one off designs and commissions.
