Mo Nicklin

Working out of her home studio in the historic Cornish village of Charlestown, Mo Nicklin has been hand printing etchings from her original and intricate drawings for the last decade.

Mo first fell in love with the Cornish way of life during childhood holidays and since moving to Cornwall in 2015, has been creating etchings of her favourite towns and villages ever since.

With a background in the creative arts, Mo was originally a freelance illustrator based in rural Sussex and discovered her love of etching in the early 1980’s. While her career path has taken in a myriad of roles from book cover illustration to owning her own jewellery gallery, it is her passion for etching that has always truly inspired her.

To create her detailed etchings, Mo will initially draw her favourite Cornish landmarks before meticulously scoring the artwork onto metal plates ready for printing. After inking, Mo will then hand roll the plate through her vintage etching press to produce each unique print.
