Marylouise Delaney just loves food; growing, cooking, eating (sometimes photographing in Lidl) and painting food.…
Robyn Weldon is an art teacher who started painting for herself during the 2020 lockdowns. Since finding her inspiration she has painted voraciously and exhibited extensively in and around Falmouth including at Terrace Gallery, Penryn and The Poly, Falmouth. Her work has been on sale at Inspire Makers since she produced her first collection of work, and we have been delighted to support this emerging artist on her journey.
Robyn’s latest exhibition “Discoveries” contains a collection of works demonstrating a new playfulness in her recording of the Cornish Landscape. The choice of exhibition title refers to the new places she has explored, the new feelings she has felt, and the new materials she has used in developing of her latest works. Robyn refers to her work as ‘recordings of the landscape’ and is energetic and evocative. The work demonstrates a new direction for Robyn in her exploration of mark making, use of colour and mixed media. Natural forms have long been an interest to Robyn and have appeared in her artistic practice and sketchbook for some time. For the first time publicly, Robyn is sharing work which is reflective of this, in combination with her ongoing observations of the Cornish weather. Robyn’s latest landscape recordings are playful, expressive, and are the outcomes of an artist heading in the direction of a true colourist.
