Marylouise Delaney just loves food; growing, cooking, eating (sometimes photographing in Lidl) and painting food.…
Debbie Martin creates original, fun and vibrant ‘paper cut art’ cut from one piece of paper. She is known for her colourful repeat designs, quirky art and repurposed maps, all inspired by living by the sea and the wonderful spectacle of colours along the coastline.
This exhibition focusses on hand cut repurposed vintage sea charts and maps of Falmouth and surrounding areas. Using a scalpel, the rolling hills and sailing vessels have all been freestyle hand cut and then layered underneath with individual paper colours. You will see pops of gold, bronze or silver leaf in her work to draw your eye to the piece.
Bold graphical hand cut designs will also feature to include ice creams, lollies, seagulls, and the Great British fish “n” chips.
Debs will be running two workshops during the exhibition on Thursday 9th and Tuesday 21st September so you can try your hand at this wonderful artform direct with the artist.
