Digital photographic print of Ami, the Falmouth Maiden, found down Upton Slip in Falmouth. The photograph is digitally altered to look like a piece of art.

Ami is the figurehead from the largest steamship ever built, an 1851 Royal Mail paddle steamer called RMS Amazon. She set sail on 2 January 1852 for the Caribbean, but after 2 days she sank about 100 miles south-west of the Isles of Scilly after catching fire in the Bay of Biscay. Two months later Ami drifted ashore at Falmouth.

Mounted Size: H 35.5cm x W 28cm
