Learn the basics of sewing with beads to create a colourful bracelet using Czech Superduo beads and Miyaki seed beads.
What will I learn?
You will learn bead sewing techniques specific to the pattern, the importance of tension, how to deal with knotting and errors, and securing threads securely. You will also make a beaded button clasp to finish off your bracelet.
What do I need to bring?
The cost of the workshop covers all the materials required as well as tea, coffee, soft drinks etc.
What should I wear?
Due to the nature of bead sewing there is a lot of close up work so please bring any glasses you might need!
About your tutor
Vicki Glaister discovered her passion for jewellery making attending similar bead sewing classes! She is now a silver clay designer under the name “Article Jewellery”, amateur glass fuser, and owner of Inspire Makers.
Entrance is via the Inspire Makers shop. The workshop space is on the ground floor, however there is a step up from the shop to the back rooms. As it is a Grade II listed building, some doorways and spaces are narrow and may not be suitable for wheelchair users.
