One of a series of 18 mono prints, using oil based ink, created whilst at Porthmeor printing studios in St Ives.
The prints were intuitively created, using just 3 or 4 colours, capturing Helen’s experience of walking in the harbour, noticing the rope lines, colour of the clear waters, boat shapes and lichens.
A monoprint is a process by which only one unique print is created from coating a surface in ink. Unlike traditional printmaking where multiple, often limited edition, prints are made, mono prints are more akin to a printed painting.
