March opening hours: Tues to Sat 10.30am to 4.30pm.
Naomi Singer first learnt the basics of fused glass while studying Contemporary Crafts at Falmouth College of Arts. After graduating she set up a business creating her distinctive glass pieces.
All of Naomi Singer’s pieces start off the same way as a digital photograph she has taken of a plant or flower. The image is then manipulated on her computer, deleting any of the background she doesn’t want, drawing into the image, changing the colours and scale until she has the finished design. The image is printed as a water-slide decal which is fused into a pattern of hand-cut coloured pieces of glass.
Since first setting up Naomi Singer Glass Design, it has grown from her original kiln in her spare room to her current space in Krowji, the largest creative studio complex in Cornwall.
