Wendy Horner

Wendy Horner is a Mixed Media Textile Artist, who is passionate about creating textures within her artwork. Her work reflects the sunrises, sunsets and luminescence within the sea, and the natural textures of the Cornish Coast and shoreline.

All of Wendy’s pieces are unique, individually designed and cannot be reproduced due to the variety of processes used within her work including distressing, sculpting materials, printing, mark making, embossing, stitching and fusing.

The real beauty and depth to her work can only really be appreciated in person where you can see the mix of materials used to create the effect, such as natural, specialist, synthetic and recycled textiles, textured mediums, metallic fabrics, fine mesh and sheet metals, along with both hand and machine-made papers.

Wendy Horner lives and works in her home studio in Mevagissey on the south Cornish coast.
