Silver Sapling

Lucy Gerrard originally trained as a silversmith in her home county of East Sussex. Having always had a passion for wearing jewellery, it seemed natural to learn the skills of the trade. After three years of learning the craft, she started designing pieces and taking commissions as Silver Sapling.

In 2016, she set out on an adventure to live in Cornwall, settling on the Isles of Scilly with her partner Ben. Within a year, Ben joined the business and they started creating their current collections, drawing inspiration from the abundance of Cornwall’s natural beauty, whether it be the succulents and agapanthus ubiquitous with the county, or the stunning coastline and sea that envelops the Western Peninsula.

Now based in Penwith, and working from their home studio, Silver Sapling continue to be inspired by this most magical part of the country.
