Secret Shore

Anya of Secret Shore moved to Falmouth in 2013, where she found a love of beachcombing after discovering a beautiful glass bottle dated from the 1700’s. She was hooked, as beachcombing fulfilled her inquisitive nature and love of history.

After struggling to source a decorative sea glass mobile for a photo shoot (she’s also a photographer), Anya decided to make her own, researching techniques to attach the glass and pottery without drilling. Time is spent finding the right size, shape and colour of each sea glass piece or beach pottery, and they all have to fit together as one coherent object. The name Secret Shore was inspired by Anya’s favourite beach, one she likes to think is a hidden gem.

Secret Shore is created from Anya’s garden studio in Ponsanooth, where she lives with her husband Ben, and cat June.
