Rebecca Walklett
Rebecca Walklett works with colour and form, using a variety of techniques such as raising, press forming, fabrication, etching & patination. She fell in love with patination while at college and has continuously tried new ways of colouring her metal pieces.
Raising, a way of developing forms from a flat piece of metal by hammering it over various shaped steel stakes, is the process by which most of her bowls are made. Rebecca Walkett’s boxes are largely made by press forming which is a way of forming metal in a mould to get repeatable shapes. The Shoreline Stories jewellery collection combines semi-precious stones and beach pebbles each with their own history.
