Opening Hours: Tues to Sat 10am - 5pm
Rebecca Turk-Richards comes from a family of St Ives studio potters and painters, but started out in theatre, running workshops for many years. She found her way into painting and printmaking on completing a Degree in Fine Art at Plymouth University in 2012 and has never looked back. Since 2015, she divides her time between the studio and as an art technician and lecturer at Penwith College.
The work of Rebecca Turk-Richards focuses on human connections; journeys and our environment encountered from afar or close up. She collects memories and observations that act as a catalyst for the image she is going to make. Her starting points are often planned from sketches or photographs but these ideas are often abandoned in the practical process, as the prints or paintings take on a life of their own.
